We are seeking a creative and data-driven Digital Marketing Specialist to join our growing team. You will be responsible for developing and executing engaging content, fostering vibrant online communities, managing digital advertising campaigns, and conducting market research to inform our overall digital marketing strategy.

Location note:  This is available as a remote or local to Norfolk, Virginia.
Expected weekly hours:  Flexible – 10 to 20 hours a week depending on workload

Responsibilities:

  • Community Management:
    • Develop and implement strategies to build and manage thriving online communities with Netarus across various platforms (e.g., social media, forums).
    • Foster positive brand sentiment through engaging content and interactions with community members.
    • Monitor online conversations, address customer concerns, and curate user-generated content.
    • Analyze community engagement metrics and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Content Development:
    • Create high-quality content (written, visual, and video) aligned with brand voice and target audience.
    • Develop content calendars and manage editorial workflows.
    • Stay updated on industry trends and identify content formats that resonate with the target audience.
    • Optimize website content on Netarus websites for search engines (SEO) to improve organic traffic.
  • Digital Advertising:
    • Manage and optimize paid advertising campaigns across various platforms (e.g., Google Ads, social media advertising).
    • Analyze campaign performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and adjust strategies accordingly.
    • Stay updated on the latest digital advertising trends and technologies.
    • Work with designers and copywriters to develop compelling ad creatives.
  • Market Research:
    • Conduct market research for Netarus’ executive team to understand target audience demographics, preferences, and online behavior.
    • Analyze competitor marketing strategies and identify best practices.
    • Stay informed about industry trends and report on relevant insights to inform marketing strategies.
